Résumé
In order to improve methods used in ECRN we have to look for an improvment, of the resistance calculations/ -hull dirty drag -hull undulation drag -hull roughness drag These resistance componements continue to play an important role in the economics of shipping . It is one of the main items in energy saving strategies of sphip owners. The hydrodynalics is expected to answer the question: what is the increase of ship resistance due to a change in hull dirty , undulation and roughness? This answer requires: a- measurement and analysis of thes parameters b-knowledge of their effect on local skin friction c-a boudary layer calculation procedure or simpler an empirical formula, to integrate the local effects to obtain the increase of hull drag the numerical resutltes leads the very good agreement with this theorical works by different authors
