Résumé
This research is an attempt at analysing the sociolinguistic context of Mascara. It deals mainly with some aspects of language use and attitude in the speech of Mascarians. The work describes salient features typical to this vernacular such as the use of pragmatic particle /ma/ and more, in the field of phonology, morphology, syntax and vocabulary.
