Résumé
Between 1760 and 1900, while England was the scene of the Industrial Revolution, India that of British colonization. The two processes proved firmly related, in that, the needs of British industry accentuated the exploitation of wealthy India. The latter is said to have been the mainstay of the British industry increasingly capitalistic over the nineteenth century. The Indians are said to have been undermined by the British seeking to meet their economic interests. This situation is said to have gained a political form.
