Résumé
This thesis, entitled; Language and symbolism as an illustration of the major themes in D.H Lawrence’s major works, aims to show how successful Lawrence was in his use of Language and Symbolism to illustrate his major themes and underline his apocalyptic vision. The purpose of the present study is to show that Lawrence, as one of the most innovative writers of the twentieth century, managed to create a form of expression that reseals not only his apocalyptic vision but brings to life the wholeness of man. I am going to apply Freudian psychoanalytical theory within a holistic approach.
