Résumé
Seeing that total reliance on the teacher’s corrective feedback yields results only on the short term and mainly in classroom settings, learners need to be more autonomous by improving their productive skills through the awareness of the effectiveness of strategies like self-monitoring and self-correction. T o achieve this goal, teachers have to decide upon the most effective techniques that raise the learners’ awareness about strategies and train them to monitor their language production and correct their own errors.
