Résumé
The overriding purport of the present research is to review the domain of English for pharmacy in respect of the aspect of vocabulary comprehension. Within the purview of the study, the plausible advantages of the task-based approach over vocabulary comprehension are to be probed. In the main, the paucity of vocabulary would hamper the comprehension since vocabulary is deemed as the core of a text. Accordingly, instead of skipping unfamiliar words, students will use valuable strategies so as to grasp the meaning of these words. These strategies (as guessing the meaning from context, consulting the dictionary, etc.) vary in accordance with the tasks to be accomplished.
