Résumé
The composition of gut microflora appears to be influended to some degree by diet, age and geographic considerations. Studies have shown, however, that the ingestion of certain oligosaccharides; such as fructo-oligosaccharides, could modify bacterial composition of the dominant flora by increasing bifidobacteria and the other probiotic bacterial. Some studies suggest that these bifidobacteria, which are saccharolytic bacteria naturally occurring in the normal colonic flora, might be beneficial to the host health. Despite the desirable proein content of som plant products, plants often contain highlevels of carbohydrates which many animals, including man, do not digest effectively. Poorly digested carbohydrates in some plants such as sybeans, for example, include sucrose, and the oligosaccharides raffinose and stachyose. The presence of these carbohydrates in animal diets can cause diarrhea and reduced nutrient absorption. Carbohydrates in soybeans also can alter populations of micro-flora in the gastrointestinal tact, sometimes with negative effects. Furthermore, phytochemicals and essential oils also affects the gut and fecal flora. In this work we examined the fluctuation of gut and fecal microflora in some laboratory animals fed with selected plants products such as oligosaccharides, essential oils and phytochemicals (flavonoids, plyphenols,...)notably the abbandance of probiotics under the experimental conditions.
