Résumé
The highest judicial institution in the United States, during the nineteenth and the mid-twentieth centuries, held a mixture of opinions in the areas of civil rights and liberties. The unelected body helped modestly and relatively protect and provide for free, fair, and legal elections of the members of the elected body in the United States that is traced back to the Colonial Period.
