Résumé
The aim of this work is to present a general formalism that can be used to model and simulate the charge carrier transport in organic solar cells. The procedure is based on onedimensional drift-diffusion equations and includes comprehensively the modeling of the free charge carrier generation as well as bimolecular recombination processes. Some important knowledge of semiconductor fundamentals was essential, such as, Poisson Equation, continuity equations of both holes and electron . The applied numerics is based on finite difference approaches and especially on the Scharfetter-Gummel algorithm. The set of equations are implemented in MATLAB v.7.8.This model helps us to study the inside behavior of bulk heterojunction solar cells. The same computational model and algorithm have been applied on tandem cell.
