This research work of the British Council’s Nigerian policy in the Cold War context is an attempt to study the role of British cultural diplomacy in Nigeria during the critical period of the coldwar between th western powers and the USSR.How couldthis cultural policy resist the coldwar challenges and allow Britain to maintain her economic, politica and cultural presenc in Nigeria, during both the 1960’s and 1970’s will be focus of this research.
