Résumé
The globalisation process affected British unionism. Both rising foreign competition in the domestic product market and the ability of firms to locate in different countries(multinationals) influenced the unions’bargaining capacities and their recognition at the workplace. The unions’ responses to the challenges of economic globalisation was through international trade union organisations (GUFs- ICFTU).
