Résumé
In this thesis, a thermal analysis of the GaAs/GaAIAS double heterostructure (DH) laser diode is presented.The Transmission-Line Modelling (TLM) methods is used.The semiconductor laser under investingation is used in fibre optic communication systems either as source of light or light amplifier.The analysis of the thermal diffusion included the static behaviour of the laser dealingwith the state response and the pulse behaviuor of the laser amplifiers.Thz regular fine mesh TLM methods is first used to model the DH laser diode .Then new model termed ’Combined fine-coarse’ mesh of teh laser diode is developed.
